King Henry VIII was notorious for having many wives but their individual stories are lost in the looming shadow of Henry's own history. Until now! IN this vivid story by Carolyn Meyer, we find the Spanish princess, Catherine of Aragon, preparing for a long sea voyage to England to marry a prince she's never met. In this historical fiction book, you can travel deep into Catherine's personal life and troubles.
Princess Catherine is a young girl when she travels to England with a large retinue: her father has made an agreement with King Henry VII to forge a union through marriage. But when Catherine is left stranded in England with no money, will she have the courage to hold her crumbling household together, and the patience to wait for a miracle?
This was an excellent, dramatic book. I commend Carolyn Meyer for her historical accuracy. Carolyn Meyer has many other wonderful books - including the rest of the Young Royals Series. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves history.
