Young Mary O'Shea believes her life is the best because of her wonderful family, their lovely farm, and their friendly neighbors. It seems like her world is crumbling.I enjoyed this book because it showed both sides of the War of 1812. I would probably recommend this book to anyone eight and up, because, although there is conflict, nothing could really be construed as frightening or inappropriate.
